This beginner-friendly project is perfect for anyone who can keep pace and follow instructions—whether you choose a simple approach or go all in! A variety of clay tools, textures, and glazing options are provided.
What You’ll Make:
A beautiful stoneware flower, to hang or display on a copper pipe or garden stake (not included). Each student will hand-build one flower from stoneware clay, measuring about 10”. Waterproof, but not frostproof.
Price includes:
- Small-group instruction from an experienced teacher
- Hours of creative, energizing fun
- Guidance on clay properties for this project
- Studio access for building and glazing
- 2.5-hour first class
- 3-hour return session for glazing (extra glaze time available at $15/hour per person)
- Use of studio tools and textures
- Two kiln firings
- Bragging rights and a memorable experience with great people and art you’ll love
Important Notes:
This is a two-part workshop—you’ll visit the studio twice: first to create, then to glaze. Schedule your return date through the two-part return-to-glaze workshop listing. Your second session should be at least 10 days after the first to allow for drying before firing. You may also reschedule your glazing session via your confirmation email. If registering guests besides yourself, please make sure all details are arranged in advance.
