What You’ll Make:

Each student will hand-build one mug from stoneware clay. Choose from two styles

Price includes:

- Small-group instruction from an experienced teacher

- Hours of creative, energizing fun

- Guidance on clay properties for this project

- Studio access for building and glazing

- 2.5-hour first class

- 3-hour return session for glazing (extra time is available at $15/hr)

- Use of studio tools and textures, and glazes

- Two kiln firings

  • Bragging rights and a memorable experience with great people.

Important Notes:

This is a two-part workshop—you’ll visit the studio twice

1st Come and make something fun!

2nd Come and glaze your pottery before its final firing in the kiln.

Schedule your return date through the return-to-glaze workshop listing.

Once you've signed up to return for glazing, if necessary, you may also reschedule your glazing session via your confirmation email.

Please allow at least 14 days between making and return to glaze. Mugs need covered, slow dry time and require more time than other projects before firing.

3-hour return session for glazing includes instruction on how to best glaze for success, all the tools necessary, your choice of a wide variety of glazes for your project. Three hours is more than the average time needed for any of the workshops.

Option: Extra glazing time is available at $15/hour per person) I never want this to be a surprise so please remember to share this information with your group. This fee is to cover the studio overhead including supplies etc.

If you have that project that involves more than the time allotted this may be an option for you.

TIP- I find it is very helpful choosing a color scheme for your project prior to the class since it helps you choose your glazes easier and you can get right to the fun of finishing your project.

  • Pottery workshop fees are non-refundable. Rescheduling is possible if arranged at least 48 hours before the event.

  • Please contact me prior to your group guest being unable to attend your groups return to glaze scheduled time. They'll need to reschedule the return date within the time allotted or forfeit the glazing of their project. This project will return home with you as you are the signee. I don't like to sound fussy about this, but my studio doesn't have space for indefinite or forgotten art and I need to get projects moving so I can plan more fun things for you! Thank you for understanding.  Questions? Call or text me at 810 334-5626          I hope to see you soon!
