Please choose from the dates available for the particular project you are interested in. Due to the process involved to create this workshop I can only offer a maximum of two flowers to choose from per workshop. You will make (1) flower per workshop.
This project is designed to be approachable for beginners as long as they can follow the class pace and instructions.
This project has a group size of max. 8

What You’ll Make Choose from a sunflower, daisy, or poppy styles and create a beautiful ceramic indoor/outdoor flower. Please see the calendar on the workshops page or this listing to make sure the flower you'd like to make is being offered on the date you choose. Create your flower to either hang or set over a piece of copper pipe or rebar (not included.) This project is created from stoneware and glazed in beautiful rich colors that will last forever with proper care. Waterproof yes, frostproof no.
Each student will hand-build one (1) flower from stoneware clay. The flowers measure approximately. 13” inches by 7" inches.
The flowers are left to dry for 10 days at the studio then bisque fired and ready for the second part of the workshop. which is where the glazing takes place.

Important Notes:

If you are registering guests other than yourself, please make sure they understand what they are attending and the time frames involved.

To Schedule Part-2 and finish your project you can do this immediately after your workshop purchase by clicking the Part-2 option on the workshop page or here on the link below. Please select your return date for at least 10 days after your workshop so that your project has time to dry and be bisque fired. The studio Does Not hold projects for more than 30 days after your workshop if arrangements have not been made. Please make sure you've scheduled and finished glazing within that time frame.

If you are unable to return for glazing, the studio can finish your flower for an additional fee.

Creativity is encouraged! The allotted studio time is based on the project example but unique is wonderful and fun! If you'd like to get a little crazy adding your special touches to your project, please let me know in advance. (The more you add, the more glazing required also.) We need to make sure my schedule permits and extra cost is covered.

Due to the nature of ceramics, slight variations and imperfections are part of the handmade process.

Finished work will be ready for pickup approximately two weeks after glazing.
